  1. Semi-stitch

Overview

Key modules for this deparment.

Working of the department

The task of this department is to prepare a garment which is partly stitched as per design specifications.

All operators are grouped together in form of a team. Each team is uniquely indetified by the group number. Primarily there are two types of operations - Stitch and Patch. Unlike, other department the operation is considered to be a single action rather than series of tasks and one operation will be performed by one operator. And once the operator performs that operation, the product will be ready for quality check.

Before stitching or patching could be performed, the raw material is sent for pre-processing. And this process could be repeated multiple time as well. Usually, pre-processing tasks are outsourced and the staus of work it is to be maintained by the system.

Unlike full-stitch department, rate per piece is pre-decided and salary module is based on pay per piece model. The job is assigned to the team and received from the team only. Therefore, salary will be paid to the team only. The payment distribution among the team member is also not fixed and various parameters affects it.

Once the finished garment is ready, checker will perform quality check at the last and if required the piece will be returned back to the operator who has performed the operations on it. Otherwise, finished product will be submitted to the ware house and from there it will be deliverd to the client.‌

The objective of the system is to automate each and every aspect of this working in order to optimize the overall performance of the department.‌
